Steve Shih – Coach
Like many, Steve’s first exposure to CrossFit was through the internet. Impressed and confused by what he had seen, Steve continued exercising at a local gym. While growing tiresome of a typical gym routine and with ever increasing exposure to CrossFit, Steve sought for something new. Challenged in a way unfamiliar to him, both physically and mentally, Steve knew he found something that could constantly feed and maintain his curiosity and interest.
Believing that Crossfit not only serves as a terrific way of getting into shape but that it also provides people an open platform to learn new things.
Introduced to CrossFit with no athletic background and a sedentary lifestyle, Steve would have never predicted that one day he would enjoy Olympic weightlifting and handstand walks. With that said, Steve can relate to the challenges that are presented to new CrossFitters – whether its to lose weight, gain strength or to learn new skills. But Steve can also testify to the many benefits and enjoyments that CrossFit has to offer. Emphasizing on progression, technique and safety, Steve’s approach to CrossFit is about longevity and having fun, which, he believes is the key to lasting healthy change
